To preface this review, it is essential to note that although this diet can be very effective, it is certainly not for everyone. If you are thinking of trying the Rice Diet Solution, it is vital to discuss this with your doctor first.

Essentially, this book calls for eating a lot of rice, as the title would suggest, and not a whole lot of anything else. Our main concerns are the lack of protein and fats, which are essential, at least in moderation. The first phase of this diet is rigorous and calls for fruit only once a week, little to no protein, and, you guessed it, lots and lots of rice. Most people may be able to follow it for a few days, but after that point, you may never want to eat rice again.

That said, there are a few sound principles in the book, such as reducing sodium intake. Since this is such a big problem with processed foods, we could all do with a little less sodium in our life, but once again, this book cuts it out of your life. Not enough…
